Gianna’s love for hair started long before she ever stepped into a salon. As a little girl, she was always “playing with hair”—whether it was her own, her friends’, or anyone in the family willing to sit in her chair. That early curiosity eventually grew into a passion and a clear direction for her future.

During her final year at Raritan Valley Vocational School, Gianna had the opportunity to shadow at Karen Joseph Salon every Friday for an entire school year. It became much more than a learning experience. It gave Gianna and the KJ team the chance to truly get to know one another, and by the end of the year, she knew KJ was exactly where she hoped to begin her career. We were just as excited to welcome her to the team.

Gianna genuinely loves working with people and has quickly grown to love our clients and her KJ coworkers. Bubbly, warm, and almost always smiling, she has a natural way of making people feel comfortable and cared for.

As she begins her career, Gianna is eager to learn every aspect of the craft, with a special interest in the science and artistry behind hair color. She already understands that becoming a great stylist is a lifelong journey, and she plans to make education an important part of her career for years to come.

Creativity has always been a big part of Gianna’s life. A competitive dancer throughout her childhood and teen years, she now shares that passion by teaching dance when she’s not at the salon. And when she isn’t at KJ or in the dance studio, Gianna loves spending time with her family.

For Gianna, this is just the beginning—and she couldn’t be more excited to learn, grow, and find her own place behind the chair at KJ.
